Update: Safeguarding Policy

COCD is happy to announce that we are currently working to update our safeguarding policy. This will help us to set out a more comprehensive framework regarding how to protect vulnerable groups and individuals from exploitation.

We highly value the safety of all of our stakeholders and are dedicated to continuing doing our best to protect them, especially vulnerable children, women, poor families and disabled people.

Update: Donations Page

COCD is proud to announce that it will soon have a working donations page that allows anybody to contribute to improve the lives of vulnerable children and communities. The page is being set up to allow small but important donations from individuals in Cambodia and abroad.

Donors will be able to contribute either on a one time basis, monthly or for specific projects through a debit or credit card. For those wishing to donate to specific projects with a value of over $100, you can contact COCD directly to make a transfer. These contributions will help to improve the lives of vulnerable groups most in need in remote areas of Cambodia.

University Prize

COCD is proud to announce that three of its recent volunteers have won a prize at their home university in Australia as a result of their work with us.

They entered into a competition with other students from their university who volunteered at NGO’s all over the world. Despite tough competition, their work with COCD (their hosting organization) succeeded and they won the prize. It was a great pleasure to have them working with us and COCD is extremely proud to have helped them to win the prize.

Proposal for Women Empowerment Submitted

COCD has just submitted its proposal for the “Women’s Empowerment for the Care and Protection of Vulnerable Children” project in Pursat Province to Coca Cola, through HOLT International.

This will help give these women the skills and knowledge to look after themselves and become a confident member of their local community.

2019 Annual Audit Completed

Every year, COCD is audited by a credible external organization in order to ensure the integrity and transparency of our work. This helps us maintain our status as a trustworthy, leading NGO in Cambodia and lets us continue to use donors funds to improve the lives of vulnerable communities in remote areas.

This will help to encourage better sanitation practices and protect local people from disease and virus outbreaks.
